About me
Julia Park Tracey is an award-winning journalist, editor, and author; she was Poet Laureate of Alameda, CA, 2014-2017. Her work has appeared in Huffington Post, Salon, Narratively, Redbook, Oakland Magazine, sfgate.com, and The Sun. Julia is an alumna of the Community of Writers in fiction and CNF. She is the author of six novels, including Silence (2024), two women's history collections, and a poetry collection. Comes the Fox, a historical novel about her Quaker and enslaving ancestors, is forthcoming in September 2027 from Sibylline Press. She lives in Grass Valley in a restored Victorian. She loves hot summers, occasional snow days, history, and the library.
