David Henry Sterry is a performer, producer, and bestselling author of 18 books, translated into a dozen languages. His one-man show Chicken (based on his international bestseller) was named the #1 show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He invented Pitchapalooza, and toured it everywhere from Kauai to Deadwood to Hollywood. He co-created the documentary Pitchapalooza: Discovering America’s Next Great Author, based on the event, which will air in 2027. His debut novel, The Valley of Love and Delight, will be published in 2027, when he will be 70.
He’s been on the front cover of the New York Times Book Review, a regular on NPR, in the London Times, Washington Post, Wall St. Journal, and countless other media. He guest starred on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. opened for Robin Williams, acted with Michael Caine and Zippy the Chimp, and had a successful career as a human guinea pig.
