About me
Diana Gameros is a singer, guitarist, pianist, and composer, a lead teaching artist with the Lullaby Project, and a core member of the Immigrant Orchestra. Born and raised in Juárez, México, she immigrated to the United States as a teenager, carrying with her a deep love for music and the stories of her homeland. Over the past decade in the Bay Area, she has released three albums of original songs in Spanish and English alongside interpretations of Mexican classics; has been recognized multiple times by NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest; and was the subject of a KQED documentary in 2020. Rooted in stories of family, migration, and home, her music has led her to share the stage with Joan Baez, Natalia Lafourcade, and the San Francisco Symphony, while supporting organizations and causes advancing social justice, immigrant rights, and community empowerment.In 2023, she received the Gerbode Music Award Grant to record her most recent album *Volver a la Luz*.
